V&DABA is a nonprofit organization based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Here we run a community basketball league for boys and girls aged 9 to 17. This season the V&DABA registered 188 teams with over 1800 players playing in 92 games per week. We register TEAMS, not individual players. Individual Players
FINDING A TEAM IF YOU ARE AN INDIVIDUAL PLAYER
The V&DABA is the league and therefore registers TEAMS, not PLAYERS.
If you are a Player looking for a team, there are three strategies you can use.
Strategy #1:
Attend a community registration day. This is the BEST way to find a team as these organizations register all comers. Community registration dates will be posted on our website if provided to us (usually in late August or early September). Not all communities hold basketball registration days.
Strategy #2:
Email an area representatives listed on the bottom of the Contact Page to see if they have a spot available on one of their teams. You should only use this strategy if you missed your community's registration day for individual players.
Strategy #3 - Deadline for using this form is September 26th.
Complete and submit the player infomation form below. The resulting list of Individual Players will be provided to coaches, however there is no guarantee a spot will be available on a team using this approach. It is far more effective to attend your community registration day or contact one of the area representatives/organizations listed on the bottom of the Contact Page directly.
